CLEVELAND – The Gluten-Free Awareness Tour stops at the Holiday Inn Cleveland South in Independence, Ohio on Saturday, November 17, 2012, from 9 am to 2 pm.
The third annual event features Dr. Thomas Sferra, Chief of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.
Besides meeting Dr. Sferra, and other celiac disease experts, attendees can sample dozens of gluten-free food and beverage products, and watch live chef demonstrations on the main stage.
Gluten-free food and beverage exhibitors include some of the largest gluten-free food manufacturers in the country including, Blue Diamond Foods, Anheuser-Busch, The H.J. Heinz Company, Kinnikinnick, Daiya Foods and Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery. Local vendors participating in the event include Artizone, Falafill, Taza Chocolate, Just Right Eating and Sweet Ali’s Bakery.
In 2012, over 100 gluten-free food and beverage manufacturers exhibited and thousands of shoppers attended the events in cities throughout the Midwest, including Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Columbus and Louisville.
The Gluten-Free Awareness Tour’s Cleveland stop is sponsored by UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, The Cleveland Clinic and Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery. Admission is $10, children under 12 Free.
